So, about Oersoep...
Oersoep is an always-changing and growing open collective of people active across music, stage and media. We do radio shows, podcasts, concerts, parties, audio-visual stuff, and host music studios.
But the cultural sphere can often be hard to reach, so we're trying to bridge that gap.
Our work as a collective is backed by a non-profit. By actively joining forces with other specialized non-profits and like-minded allies, we keep our events and projects accessible and welcoming.
We actively seek contact with schools, youth organisations, people living in poverty, under-documented people, and prisons, to share our airtime, spaces, and resources.
Wherever you are in life, we want you to join us: in practice, our goal is to build confidence through real, hands-on experience. Every project we take on is a chance for someone to learn, welcoming any level of commitment, and anyone curious enough to join. No prior experience required.
We believe in keeping gates open, and we're committed to making that the reality at Oersoep.
Oersoep Open Collective

Open to all.

Oersoep
VZW
The structure: making sure that when we say 'open to all', we mean open to all.
Studios, funding, outreach, projects. We have a team dedicated to running the VZW and connecting it to the collective.
"What's with all the soup?"
The name Oersoep comes from the Dutch word for primordial soup, the theory that all life began in a kind of "microbe soup" in Earth’s early oceans.
For us, it symbolizes potential. A way to see everyone who joins us not by their baggage, but as a fresh beginning.
Among our own members, as well as those we bring in.
